Gorgeous Black Walnut saved from the landfill. Milled and Drying. More to come…
Here is a recent cluster of milled live edge slabs from an 85 year old Black Walnut tree from Baltimore County, Maryland. The figure in this log is simple yet depicts unique movement throughout.
Each slab is approximately 10-11 feet long by 28-32″ wide. These slabs would make an excellent book match (two pieces joined together) dining table or island top for your kitchen remodel, wet bar or island. Our beautiful wood slab tops, paired with stone, granite, marble or similar countertops, offer an unparalleled natural contrast that compliment each other in a way no other material can.
More to come… The base/trunk has yet to be milled. It features a unique crotch section (where tree splits while growing). These areas typically reveal some gnarly character and figure. The base is approximately 40″ plus in diameter and will be milled at the end of June.
Stay tuned for more info and feel free to inquire about availability and other species in our growing inventory.
